The EFL has released a new schedule for the League Two play-off semi-finals, which differs from the one announced last week. The revised schedule involves moving the second leg matches to a Saturday afternoon, instead of their previous midweek dates.
The first leg fixtures remain unchanged from last week’s announcement. Depending on Carlisle United’s finishing position, their first leg match will be played on May 13th or May 14th, with the kick-off times being 7.45 pm and 7 pm respectively. If they finish fourth or seventh, their second leg match will be on May 20th at 12.30 pm. However, if they finish fifth or sixth, their second leg match will be played on the same day but at 3 pm.
The second leg dates have been changed from May 18th and May 19th to May 20th. If they finish sixth or seventh, Carlisle United will play the first leg at home, and if they come fourth or fifth, they will play the first leg away. It is highly unlikely for the Blues to miss out on the play-offs unless they lose against Sutton United, and Mansfield Town win against Colchester United, and the Stags benefit from a goal difference swing of eight.
