Woman Names Baby In Honor Of Pink After Going Into Labor At Her Concert
“Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour concert at Boston’s Fenway Park on July 31 wasn’t just another show – it set attendance records and gave a fan an unforgettable experience. In a truly unforgettable moment, a fan went into labor during the concert, later naming her baby after the iconic singer.
Angela Mercer, 31 weeks pregnant at the time, had traveled from Albany, New York to Boston with her mom Barbara and sister-in-law Amy. They had planned to enjoy the concert as part of a birthday celebration for Barbara. However, as the concert began, Angela started experiencing intense contractions. Based on her doctor’s recommendation, she needed to get to a hospital fast.
With the concert causing traffic congestion around Fenway, Angela and her family decided the quickest way to Brigham and Women’s Hospital was on foot. Dressed in their concert gear, they made their way to the hospital. There, in the NICU, Angela welcomed a baby boy. In tribute to Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore and took the surname Hart after marrying Carey Hart, Angela named her son Aycen Hart.
As of Aug. 9, according to CBS Boston, baby Aycen Hart is thriving. Angela shared, “The doctors aren’t majorly concerned. He arrived much earlier than expected, and many things could have been problematic, but we’re blessed and overjoyed.”
Aside from Aycen’s dramatic entrance, Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour has had other unexpected moments. At BST Hyde Park in London, a fan scattered her deceased mother’s ashes on stage, leaving Pink uncertain of her emotions. Another fan, in a lighter moment, presented Pink with a massive wheel of brie cheese during a concert, leading Pink to jovially express her gratitude in a TikTok video.
