This ‘60s-themed episode transported fans back in time, featuring retro vibes, flower-power style, and an opening group performance of “Fun, Fun, Fun” by the Beach Boys. The night served as the finale for Group B’s contestants: Goo, Bluebell, and Wasp, who each performed iconic hits from the era. Goo took on “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals, Bluebell delivered “Do You Love Me” by The Contours, and Wasp performed Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way.”

Throughout the show, “Men in Black” sprinkled in some classic ‘60s nostalgia, presenting “Inventions of the ‘60s” clues. One quirky clue was an Easy-Bake Oven, holding a Vegemite sandwich inside. Host Nick Cannon, after some audience pressure, tried a taste of the Australian spread, reacting with an unforgettable expression of disgust that delighted fans.

As this was Group B’s finale, two contestants were sent home to make way for the quarterfinals. First to be unmasked was Bluebell. The panelists, using the Vegemite clue, all guessed high-profile Aussie celebrities: Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg thought it might be Naomi Watts, Robin Thicke went with Isla Fisher, Ken Jeong chose Rose Byrne, and Rita Ora picked Kylie Minogue. None of them guessed correctly, as Bluebell was unveiled to be ‘90s pop star and three-time Grammy nominee Natalie Imbruglia, known for her hit song “Torn.” The reveal was especially ironic as Imbruglia had won The Masked Singer U.K., where Rita Ora was a panelist and missed guessing her identity there as well.

With Bluebell’s departure, Wasp and Goo advanced to a Battle Royale, where they each performed “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” by Marvin Gaye. Wasp ultimately won the battle, sending Goo to an unmasking. But in a major twist, the panel used the Ding Dong Keep It On bell to save Goo, allowing him to continue to the quarterfinals, a decision that marks the final save of the season.

So far, Buffalo, Wasp, and Goo have secured spots in the quarterfinals. Group C, the final group of the season, will debut next week on The Masked Singer’s “Who Are You Fest Night,” airing Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
