The foundational variant came equipped with a 318 two-barrel V8. However, customers could also opt for the 361 two-barrel, the more prevalent 383 four-barrel, or the much-admired yet rarely ordered 426 Street Hemi.

Of all the Chargers manufactured by Dodge, only 468 were fitted with the Hemi, with only a handful surviving today.

The 1966 Charger, currently listed on eBay by seller best-auto-deal, doesn’t house the iconic Hemi but flaunts the commendable 383. It appears to be in fair condition and might require some minor tweaks to be operational.

This particular Charger was resurrected from a barn after an estate sale. Its last registration dates back to 1982, implying it’s been dormant for approximately 40 years.

Its years in seclusion haven’t deteriorated its charm. Although the paint has naturally weathered, it can either be retouched or retained for a vintage feel.

There are evident rust spots, but the seller ensures the Charger’s robust condition. It features impeccable original glass, straight doors, a rust-free trunk, and reasonably maintained chrome details.

The vehicle comes with its original ignition and trunk keys. It’s said to be 99% intact, with only the air cleaner and horn button missing.

While the engine’s exact status remains somewhat ambiguous, the seller suggests minimal effort is needed to get the Charger operational again.

Given its potential as a restoration project, it’s no wonder the car is attracting attention on eBay. Within a few hours of listing, it has already garnered four bids, with the current highest being $4,200.

The listing does not have a reserve, meaning the highest bidder will acquire it. Though currently not ready for a spin, anyone interested can visit Stilwell, Kansas, to inspect the Charger and participate in the auction.
