Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey Announce Engagement

Kaley Cuoco, star of The Flight Attendant, and Tom Pelphrey, known for his role in Ozark, have officially announced their engagement.

The couple, who have been together since 2022, shared the exciting news on social media Wednesday. Cuoco posted a photo of the two of them, showcasing her stunning new engagement ring, with the caption, “Amazing weekend.” A representative for Cuoco confirmed the engagement to Entertainment Weekly, while Pelphrey’s reps have yet to comment.

Cuoco, 38, and Pelphrey, 42, went public with their relationship in May 2022. The couple welcomed their daughter, Matilda Carmine Richie, in March 2023.

Pelphrey, in an interview with W Magazine last year, revealed that before meeting Cuoco, he was unfamiliar with her long-running CBS sitcom, The Big Bang Theory, which concluded in 2019. “I live in a cave,” Pelphrey joked, explaining that he had been living in upstate New York, in a remote area with limited Wi-Fi. “She’s brought me into modern times.”

He also shared a humorous story about introducing Cuoco to his family. When he first took her to New Jersey to meet his loved ones, his mother’s partner—who was a big fan of The Big Bang Theory—kept calling her “Penny,” the character Cuoco portrayed on the show. Confused, Pelphrey had to pull Cuoco aside and ask her to explain.

The couple met at the premiere of Pelphrey’s Netflix crime drama Ozark in April 2022, after being introduced by their managers. Cuoco revealed in a November interview with Today that they had decided on their daughter’s name, Matilda, just a week into their relationship. “We looked at each other and it was like, ‘Would it be crazy to say if we had a baby we’d name her Matilda?'” Cuoco shared, reflecting on the early days of their relationship and how quickly they connected.

This marks Cuoco’s third engagement. She was previously engaged to Josh Resnik and has been married twice—first to professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016, and then to Olympic equestrian Karl Cook from 2018 to 2022.
