Justin and Hailey Bieber Welcome Their First Child, Jack Blues Bieber
The term “baby” just took on a whole new significance for Justin and Hailey Bieber.
On Friday night, the pop superstar, 30, and his wife Hailey announced the arrival of their first child, Jack Blues Bieber. Justin shared the joyous news with a simple, heartfelt message: “WELCOME HOME, JACK BLUES BIEBER.” The announcement was accompanied by a photo of a tiny baby foot peeking out from under a blanket, nestled next to a woman’s hand. Justin was so excited that he posted the same announcement four times on his Threads account.
Hailey also shared the happy news by reposting her husband’s post on her Instagram story, adding a teddy bear emoji, a baby blue heart emoji, and the baby’s full name: “Jack Blues.”
The couple’s families were quick to celebrate the new addition. Justin’s mother, Pattie Mallette, expressed her joy on X (formerly Twitter), writing, “Congratulations, @justinbieber & Hailey. I love you forever, baby Jack!!” Hailey’s father, actor Stephen Baldwin, shared Mallette’s message and added his own heartfelt blessing: “Amen 🙏🏽 Congratulations to you and may God continue to bless our family.”
Justin and Hailey first shared the news of Hailey’s pregnancy in May, revealing the news with photos and videos from a special photo shoot commemorating the renewal of their vows. In the posts, Hailey proudly displayed her baby bump, and at that time, she was already six months pregnant, according to PEOPLE.
Since then, Hailey has kept her fans updated with regular posts about her pregnancy journey. She even graced the cover of W magazine in July, playfully referring to her baby bump as a “little burrito in my belly.” In one of her updates, she wrote, “Little cherry blossoms on my nails, little cherry blossom in my belly.”
The Biebers’ love story began when they first met as kids in 2009. They confirmed their relationship in 2016 and tied the knot in 2018. In a 2018 interview with Vogue Arabia, Hailey expressed her excitement about the idea of having children but clarified that it wasn’t something she was rushing into. “It’s a closer reality now that I’m married, but definitely not anytime soon,” she said, as reported by PEOPLE.
Throughout their marriage, the couple frequently debunked pregnancy rumors. In a 2023 interview with GQ, Hailey admitted that the constant speculation was frustrating. “Damn, I can’t be bloated one time and not be pregnant?” she remarked. “It would be a lie if I said, ‘Oh, yeah, I don’t care.'”
Hailey also emphasized that when the time came for her to become a mother, it would be a deeply personal and private decision. “It’s something that’s going to come when it comes,” she said, adding, “At the end of the day, it’s hilarious how much people f—ing care. Let me do what I want to do with my body, and you guys can do what you want to do with yours — and let’s just let it be that.”
Justin, on the other hand, has always been open about his eagerness to become a parent. During a 2020 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, he said, “I am going to have as many [children] as Hailey is willing to push out. I’d love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it’s her body and whatever she wants to do… I think she wants to have a few.”
