Marking its 30th anniversary, the enchanting classic “Hocus Pocus” is making a cinematic comeback in the UK, Ireland, and The Netherlands!
Debuting in 1993, the film unfolds in Salem, where three curious kids ignite the notorious Black Flame Candle, inadvertently awakening the Sanderson Sisters: Winifred (Bette Midler), Mary (Kathy Najimi), and Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker). The trio has until daybreak to seize the lives of Salem’s children; failure ensures their reduction to mere dust.
While its initial box office reception was lackluster, “Hocus Pocus” gradually amassed a devoted fanbase, courtesy of home video distributions and recurrent Halloween telecasts. Disney+ premiered its eagerly anticipated sequel in 2022, with a third installment currently underway.
