What is the VfL Osnabruck 3D Christmas Ugly Sweater Bundesliga?
The VfL Osnabruck 3D Christmas Ugly Sweater Bundesliga is a yearly football league played between teams of the third division, Oberliga, in Germany. The league started in 2014 and is played over a single season with 18 teams. Each team plays each other twice, once at their home stadium and once at the of an opponent. At the end of the season the team with the most points is crowned champion.
This year’s edition of the VfL Osnabruck 3D Christmas Ugly Sweater Bundesliga saw 16 teams compete. The tournament began on December 2nd and ended on January 7th. In total, 136 matches were played.
The top two teams from each group progressed to the semi-finals where they played one-off matches to determine who would progress to the final. Group winners FC Energie Cottbus and SV Wehen Wiesbaden progressed to the semi-finals while 1st place TSV 1860 München and SSV Jahn Regensburg were eliminated from contention. The final took place on January 14th at Schönau am Königsee and saw Holstein Kiel defeat TSV 1860 München 2-0 to take home first place in this year’s edition of the VfL Osnabruck 3D Christmas Ugly Sweater Bundesliga.

The VfL Osnabruck D Christmas Ugly Sweater Bundesliga begins on Thursday, December 1st and runs through Sunday, December 4th. The cost to participate is €40 for each player. Registration can be done online at the team’s website or at the club’s clubhouse. Each team will need at least 8 players to begin play.
