Well, for one, Viks sweaters were always designed by local artists who were given limited time to create something truly unique and eye-catching. And because the league was such a small and tight-knit community, everyone knew each other and their sweaters.

The Västerviks IK SHL Sweden Hockey League’s Ugly Sweater contest is back for another year! The top three teams will receive custom designed ugly sweaters courtesy of Upper One Sports. The league office is also giving away a custom made ugly sweater to the fan with the best costume!
This year’s event takes place on December 1st at the Hovet in VästerĂĄs. Doors open at 6pm and the game starts at 7pm. In order to participate, you must be present at the game and have a ticket. If you are not able to attend, be sure to submit your photos from the game on social media using the hashtag #uglysweatercontest.
